Bronwyn Capanna recently retired as the Executive Director of Accord Australasia, the peak body representing the hygiene, personal care and specialty products industry in Australia.
Commencing initially with a degree in pharmacy, during her career she has held senior positions in both the not-for-profit and private sectors spanning the healthcare, chemicals and related agriculture/veterinary medicines sectors. She has also held Ministerial appointed roles within these sectors and been actively involved in the development and implementation of government and industry policy impacting trade and commerce, both locally and internationally.
With over 30 years of experience in representing manufacturers, marketers, suppliers of raw materials and service providers, Bronwyn has spent a lifetime dedicated to constructive and positive industry advocacy. She contributes to the DART Advisory Board’s fundamental understanding of the principal needs of businesses when it comes to engagement and partnerships with academia on research and professional career placements to meet local and global markets.
For more than 20 years Bronwyn has also been associated with the Cancer Patients’ Foundation / Look Good Feel Better Australia a national service program dedicated to holistic cancer patient outreach and support.
