
The Liverpool Hospital Cyclotron Facility is an essential component of the routine radiopharmaceutical manufacturing for the Department of Nuclear Medicine and PET at Liverpool Hospital and the South Western Sydney Local Health District. The facility is a modern well-equipped radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility built to GMP standards, centred around a GE Healthcare PETtrace 890 Cyclotron. The team comprises of PhD-trained radiopharmaceutical scientists and cyclotron engineers. The LHCF manufactures Fluorine-18 products every weekday ensure the reliable supply of fluorine-18 radiopharmaceuticals to NSW while supporting the research and development activities across NSW. The radiopharmacy at Liverpool Hospital manufactures gallium-68 radiopharmaceuticals for routine and research use.
