Professional Background:
I completed my Master’s in Organic Chemistry at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, India in 2021, followed by a Master of Research (M.Res) in Chemistry at Nottingham Trent University (UK) in 2023, with a focus on organic synthesis, drug detection, and peptide modification. My research project explored peptide modification using Mizoroki-Heck and Sulfur-Fluorine Exchange (SuFEx) reactions, aimed at developing biologically orthogonal reaction sequences to enhance applications in peptide-drug conjugates.
Research Interests:
In 2024, I commenced my PhD studies under Professor Louis Rendina at the University of Sydney, focusing on the development of metal-based chelators for cancer theranostics, with a specific focus on phosphonium-functionalized chelators that target tumour cell mitochondria with a goal to combine diagnostic radioimaging and targeted radiotherapy into a single molecular platform for the advancement of precision oncology.
