Professional Background:
I earned my Bachelor of Chemistry from the University of Indonesia in 2008. In 2009, I joined the National Nuclear Energy Agency of Indonesia (now the National Research and Innovation Agency, BRIN) as a research assistant. I then completed my Masters in Chemistry at Bandung Institute of Technology in 2011. My research at BRIN focused on radiochemistry, radiopharmaceuticals, nanomaterials, and analytical chemistry, specializing in the development of radiolabeled compounds and nanoparticles for various applications, including cancer therapy.
Research Interests:
I began my PhD studies in January 2025 at the School of Chemistry, The University of Sydney, under the supervision of Professor Louis Rendina. My research focuses on the development of a novel metal chelators for the multimodal therapy of aggressive glioblastoma (brain tumour). These metal chelators are designed to deliver theranostic metal radioisotopes specifically to the mitochondria of glioblastoma cells. To ensure the safe and effective delivery of ionizing radiation into the tumours, I will examine several strategies, including the use of delocalized lipophilic cations and a multi-targeting design achieved through conjugation with specific probes that can target glioblastoma markers.
