Professional Background:

Dr Katherine A. Morgan is a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Melbourne. After completing her B.Sc. (2016) and M.Sc. (2018) in Chemistry, she received her PhD at The University of Melbourne in 2023 under the supervision of Professor Paul Donnelly.

Research Interests:

Her research specialises in personalised cancer treatments and diagnostic imaging agents for Alzheimer’s Disease, with a focus on designing selective agents using synthetic chemistry, radiochemistry, biochemistry, and cell biology. Her research involves designing molecular agents linked to tumour-targeting antibodies, peptides and small molecules. Katherine enjoys developing new macrocyclic chelators for the therapeutic radionuclides, actinium-225 and terbium-161, as well as for the theranostic matched pair of copper-64 and copper-67. Beyond research, she actively contributes to science communication and mentoring programs, supporting women and underrepresented groups in STEM.
